Autobiography (Part 2)
High school, college, and the lessons learned along the way.
High School Years
When I entered high school, I met many friends who brought me joy. We joined school events together and helped each other with homework — they are my friends who I've been with until now, and we still haven't forgotten each other. After we graduated from high school, each of us already had our own preferred course to take, so we were no longer together in the same school. We started to go our separate ways, but our friendship continued, and we never forgot each other.
College Life Begins
When I entered college, I faced a new chapter in my life. I met new people and slowly learned to handle the harder tasks of being a student. When I failed during the first semester of my first year in college, that was the time I felt like I was losing hope — I thought maybe I could not make it and maybe I would not succeed. With that, I still continued with the course I chose.
Failure Became My Fuel
It was not easy, but I learned that problems and struggles are normal for students. My failure became my reason to work harder and to show myself that I can do it. I stood up again and continued studying. Because of that, I realized that success is not only seen in high grades but also in hard work and not giving up even when things are difficult. College taught me to be strong, patient, and to always believe in myself.
Persevering Through OOP
It was during this period that I struggled with my subject in Object-Oriented Programming. I had to retake it the following year, but unfortunately I failed the course again. Since it was a pre-requisite, I was not able to take other subjects as well, which delayed my progress in the program. Because of that, my college journey studied longer than I expected — what should have been 4 years turned into 6.
